How to make Chicken Stew with Appam

Step 1
In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with hung curd, Madras curry powder, turmeric powder and salt for 30 minutes. In the meantime, chop all the veggies and keep aside.

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame and add cumin seeds in it. Then, add the whole spices, ginger, onion and garlic. Saute for 2 minutes.

When the onions turn golden, add chopped veggies and stir well. Next, add the marinated chicken pieces in the pan and cover it. Cook for 5 minutes.

Put some water, salt and coriander leaves. Cook with the lid on till the chicken turns soft. Add green chillies and mix well. Simmer for another 5 minutes and then, turn off the flame.
